hi any one up for the veng lots of routes easy acsess good camping 30ish mins walkin im thinking to go in friday teatime rtu sunday?
#5496 |Sounds good to me but I won’t make it until Saturday night.
#5497 |I’ll not be there until Sat night. I may have a D of E group to assess, though they’ve not got back to me yet.
#5498 |What do you.mean they haven got back to you i take it you lernt them orienteering?
#5499 |Graham Dorrit teaches them to use compasses, not effin’ boomerangs.
#5503 |You’ll probably be joined at the Veng by Graham, an Aussie friend of Kat on Noss. She says he leads E2 but isn’t a serious climber (and he’ll bring beer). Kat might come over in the evening for beer and perhaps a climb if anyone’s still standing
#5504 |Thats grand. im padeling in on friday afternoon staying till sunday.
#5505 |So who’s coming then, apart from Pete?! Me and Aurore might be there Saturday night or Sunday morning, not sure yet. Not sure I actually know how to get the Veng either, any chance of some directions / grid ref?
#5508 |ok the bad news, the forcast is pants so prob best to put it of for a week or two ,
cant be helped#5511 |Ah well, thought this might happen. Anybody up for a pint?
Al, it’s hard to miss. Drive to Bressay lighthouse. Stride confidently up the hill with the coast on your right. Drop down other side. Crag is at the lowest point before you get to the waterfall.
#5518 |So when shall we rearrange for then? This weekend or the following one. Looks like a heat wave this weekend with temperatures soaring to 16 degrees on Saturday!
#5519 |So … climbing this weekend??? I’m up for it.
#5521 |Happen to have the weekend off again so I’m in!
#5522 |Well the forecast isn’t quite as good now, but still looks like climbing should be ok. Who’s coming, and where do you fancy? Grind? Hamar? Nibon?
#5523 |I’m kayaking on Saturday now but up for a Sunday climb anywhere with dry rock and numpty routes. I think Anna and Rory might be keen too.
#5524 |Cool. Its pretty damp today anyway so will give the rock time to dry (wishful thinking!)
