So after seeing this I can only assume it is the media labelling anyone who goes near a cliff as a “climber”? More likely someone scrambling around and got themselves stuck? Been there, done that (before I was a climber) – managed to get out of it though.

The coastguard rarely get rope rescue callouts so probably enjoyed the practice. Hope the lad is ok. Probably embarrassed but that’s what the coastguard is there for.

Haha, yeah that was my assumption too. Can’t say Fethaland would be my first choice of “crag”… unless you’re particularly keen on choss!

The most embarrassing bit would be the forced airlift when he was just a bit cold! 😉

Yeah, poor lad got himself stuck clambering, not climbing.

I see the climber has now become a “walker”.

We were all walkers at some point…

I wasn’t. Just about died on my first walk in! Haha!

    … “keen on choss”?

May I remind you Andrew that there is a least one 12m band of climbable decent rock in Fetherland!

Have to admit that is all that I did find.

Have you got an alert set up for every mention of “choss”, Ross? 😛

I do remember you mentioning this mythical band of climbable rock, but I’ve thus far resisted the temptation to rush up there at the first opportunity!

Hope all is ticking along smoothly down your way!
