Thanks for fixing new posts Al. Andy, Diane and Brian are heading out to Bannamin soon. Anyone up for joining us.
Lovely day at B/M yesterday though the swell kept us away from the low routes. I was curious about “Logos Became Sarx” and, having watched Paul and Al have some fun times on it and realising I was unlikely to lead it in the near future, I decided to top-rope it. I’d estimate E25b on lead.
Diane and Brian did it as well.
It was me that upped it to E1 5a from Paul’s “HVS”… š I wouldn’t have said it was more than that, though. Very poor gear.
Beware of any route Paul graded HVS between 2007 and 2008 in particular… It’s a bit like Ross’s “I can’t climb more than 5c, so it must be 5c”…
Thus we have the Shetland VS, the Whitworth HVS and the Jones E2. I’ll add them to the grade chart. š
Andy, I think the route in the photo is “Slide Away”. Unless you think there’s a route inbetween the 2? I first did Slide Away many years ago and remember posting it on the old forums.
So, a confusing similarity between a slab and an arete then?
