#12447 |Lovely at The Grind yesterday afternoon. Bit wet right down at the bottom but warm and dry once the sun had got on it. Three routes got done, including “Briggistanes” which I put up solo back in the Silurian and gave a rather offhand description. Turns out to be better and harder than the Severe I originally gave – VS and not well protected. Good lead by Pete.
#12448 |Sorry we didn’t make it, jobs took much longer than planned.
Briggistanes is a lovely route, soloed it a few times, and led it a few times with a rope trailing behind, which about sums up the gear.
Severe but no gear of worth until it’s nearly over. It also feels much easier on a very hot day when the rock is grippy. So yes probably HS or VS.
