Just put up some photo’s from this weekend’s climbing at The Veng on Bressay. Lovely sunny days south facing so out of the wind. Pete, Julie and I climbed on new crag called Nirvana Crag (spotted by Julie in Kayak) on Saturday. Four new routes two by Pete two by me. The was a back off by Pete (blew the on-sight, nevermind).
Sunday climbed on the face next to Nirvana joined by J-Lo and Andy. Pete put up 3 routes, Andy 1 and I put up 2.
I haven’t named any routes apart from J-Lo’s Nose HVS 5b. Direct line over the overhang.
Didn’t blow the on sight this time!!

Photo’s of the climbing are courtesy of Julie Maguire.

Cool, nice looking little crag that. That roof looks tricky!!

If Pete downclimbed the onsight’s still there for the taking! šŸ˜›

Nice one! Looks great. I ended up working all weekend – definitely the place to be though, it was a cold wind and all the crags up our end would have been too cold.

It’d be great to get write ups of the routes and crags sometime. Perhaps even a crag for the guide, if you want it to be?

Haha! I never thought I’d see the day! šŸ˜›

BUT, if you didn’t fall or weight the gear you haven’t blown the onsight.
