Can anyone give me a rough indication of how long the routes are at The Virdans? Thanks in advance.

If you’re thinking to go you’ll struggle at the moment as Hydro are in working there and weren’t keen on us going in. They’re there until November. Not sure what hours they’re working there.

    Andrew,

The Virdans really isn’t a good place to savour the delights of climbing in Shetland and is a poor choice if you are trying to find something to climb on a minimal rack whilst up here.

That’s not to knock my peers who have developed it, but its a venue that gets used if you live here. With so much other climbing around I would head anywhere than a quarry that currently has equipment stored in it.
